BASIC INFORMATION:
- All tack equipment is provided along with approved safety
helmets. If your child already has any of these (saddle or
helmet), they can most definitely bring it along if they wish for
us to approve.
- DRESS CODE:
- For riding they need: (arrive dressed to
ride please)
- Jeans or a tighter pair of pants, so pants don’t bunch
up and pinch their legs
- Boots or rubber soled shoe with a small heel, for good
grip on the stirrups
- Fitted or tighter shirt such as a polo, tank, tighter
t-shirt, etc. so we can see their form to best benefit their
riding posture
- After they ride:
- They may change into any clothes they feel comfortable
in (So, definitely have them bring a change of clothes,
there is a place for them to store their bags). NO SANDALS.
Sneakers are fine.
- Please be aware, this is a barn and clothing will most
likely get dirty, so please don’t pack any favorite
clothes
You will need to
provide your camper with daily lunch and drink(s),
refrigerator/freezer is available. We will provide water and
freeze-pops for extra hydration on these hot summer days.
|
EXTENDED CARE
Available before and after camp everyday for a fee of $10/hour.
Please make note of this on your registration form so we can make
the proper accommodations. This will be billed to you at the end of
the week. |
|
On Friday, the last day of each camp session, the normal
daily schedule will be different for your campers. They will arrive
as normal in the morning and instead of having a lesson, they will
be participating in a “fun-show” where they will be playing games on
horse back and winning prizes, just like a horse show. Games will
include egg-on-spoon and water glass, along with many, many more. At
12:30ish, we will throw them a pizza party followed by a
“graduation” ceremony. Camp is over at the normal ending time at
3:00p.m. that day.
